However, something GOOD!
So, now that I'm not trying to be creative anymore, I picked up this head last night to work on while I vegged out watching "Return of the King." Again. My baby boy went off to jail again last Friday, this time for 4-6 months, and I'm just sort of in this weird emotional place. Anyway, I started this doll in a class with Kathleen Chrisman last December - here's a link to the class description with a photo of Kathleen's dolls. I'd gotten my head done but only about half of the hair put on - it was looking kind of like Christpher Lloyd in "Back to the Future." And I didn't know if it was a boy or a girl. So, last night I picked up the head and the mohair and felting needle, and started adding more hair while I watched my movie. And, just like always, a personality started to emerge, and there's no more question - she's a her. :-) She wants beads in her hair, bright sparkly beads and lots of them. She might want a body and limbs first, before she gets her beads, but we'll see. Her body is made of fabric from Bold Over Batiks. This is the first doll I've made in half of forever, and I'm really enjoying it. :-) I know that her face is way bleached out from the flash, but you can see her good enough:
